In the stunning city of Dubai, on November 8th 2010, a world class event titled "Celebration of Entrepreneurship" was organized by the Dubai-based "Abraaj Capital" to outline the definition of new entpreneurial era in MENASA. Over two thousands entrepreneurs, innovators, artists and business leaders united through the power of mentorship in a space buzzing with ideas and stirring with talent.
eSpace got the chance to be there to celebrate with other entrepreneurs from all over MENASA. We were not able to capture all event moments because the event schedule was so awesome that it was intimidating, that there were 11 speakers at every single moment and we were just two eSpacians over there.
The celebration program was distributed in three main tracks 1. Stories that INSPIRE creativity and collaboration, 2. Information that EMPOWER tomorrow's talent, and 3. Networks that CONNECT ideas with opportunities. You can watch the highlights of the celebration at www.wamda.com/coe
The fact that there were so many sessions and passionate stories happening at the same time made it hard to keep track on all of it. However the celebration organizers provided all celebration attendees with a handheld device called “SpotMe” that accelerates networking and gathers valuable data on the event, so we were able to manage and set our own schedule and get connected with other entrepreneurs.
The conclusion of the event was that a Think Tank Partnership in the region was funded and formed; at that point that stage was filled by so many entrepreneurs who committed money and time for supporting entrepreneurship in the MENASA. So it was not the end of the celebration, but rather it was the beginning of a new era.
