Task Cards: First eSpace iPad App

2

Just a couple days ago eSpace, in its first collaboration with Fictiv, opened the curtains to unveil our first iPad application. Being productivity buffs ourselves, and upon realizing that there is still a need for a cheap, simple, and yet effective productivity app, we went ahead with creating an index card based to-do list organizer called Task Cards.

Task Cards

Having had previous experience with iPhone development, to build atop of, the app came out pretty fast and it was a great experience dealing with UI experts to help with the design, which is exactly what makes the iPad or iPhone attractive to nerds and novice users alike. But don’t get deceived! Even though eSpacians (or so we call ourselves) are complex people, we all yearn for simplicity whenever we can get it! As such, Task Cards is an embodiment of that exactly, something simple, yet simple enough to help you get things done.

Some of the features included in Task Cards are:

  • Tasks can be shared across index cards
  • Due dates and recurring tasks
  • Priorities
  • Search
  • Notes
  • Sorting by due date, priority, or alphabetical
  • Quick access to overdue and today's tasks
  • Ability to see completed tasks on the back of a card

It is also noteworthy that after just four days in the app store, the app made rankings such as #52 in Egypt overall and the #11 productivity app in Egypt and actually made it to be the #2 ranked productivity app is Egypt and #3 of all apps in Egypt for 1 day. Moreover, the app achieved the ranking of #53 in productivity apps in the US store.

We look forward to taking into consideration all customer feedback gathered so far, along with our own future to-do lists (no pun intended) to push forth the next version. Not to mention another iPad application in the works… stay tuned!
